Associate Attorney / Director of Compliance
James is an associate attorney and our Director of Compliance. In this position, James manages our Collections and Litigation Departments, ensures and handles all federal, state and international compliance issues, oversees major firm projects, retains “Of Counsel” attorneys and serves as a liaison with some of our major clients.
James joined Palmer Reifler in 2000 as a Law Clerk. Prior to Palmer Reifler, James owned and operated Clermont Marine, Inc., a full service marine dealership, and prior to that was Vice President of Operations for Fort Myers Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. He has also owned and operated several small businesses.
James graduated from Barry University School of Law in 2000 where he was awarded a Juris Doctor degree. He was previously awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from The University of Central Florida in 1990. James is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. He is also an active member of ACA International and the Florida Collectors Association, where he currently serves as President Elect.
